SUMMARY:Body of Joy: Ecstatic Spirituality through Breath\, Yoga\, Art\, and Dance - Tavira\, Portugal
DESCRIPTION:Four-day\, in-person workshop June 5 – 10\, 2026 Near Tavira\, Portugal \n\n\n\n“If enlightenment does not take place in the body\, it does not take place at all.” \n\n\n\n— Yeshe Tsogyal\, 8th-century Tibetan Buddhist master\, consort of Padmasambhava\, and one of the most venerated figures in Vajrayana Buddhism. \n\n\n\nMuch of spirituality—East and West—rightly focuses on “up and out” practices\, awakening the higher chakras to deepen compassion\, spiritual insight\, and wisdom. These are called “generation stage” practices in Tibetan Buddhism. DESCRIPTION:In-person workshop October 15 – 18\, 2026 Essex\, UK  \n\n\n\nThe process creates a safe space for breakthroughs in individual transformation and community healing—by working skillfully with participants’ lived experiences in relation to gender and sexuality. Together\, women and men of all sexual orientations enter into a deeper understanding and mutual appreciation of their own experience and journey\, and also awaken greater compassion\, empathy\, and understanding of others’ gender-based experiences and challenges. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be guided through an interactive and highly experiential process that includes personal reflection\, small group interaction\, silent meditation\, somatic exercises\, experiential honoring\, and council process to explore and transform sensitive issues relating to gender and sexuality.
