About Gender Equity & Reconciliation International (GERI):
Developed over 30 years and conducted with thousands of participants across six continents, the GERI process draws on principles of Truth and Reconciliation pioneered by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. It invites a profound process of healing divisions across humanity.
What to expect in a workshop designed for Christian communities:
Using the GERI process, our journey will explore the often-muted attitudes, fears, shame, and brokenness within patriarchal society. Through this exploration, we begin to reclaim the mutual harmony, respect, and collaboration intended for men and women as God’s image bearers.
At the same time, the GERI facilitation team will gently help you set aside daily demands so that we can create a safe space for attentive listening. In this setting, we begin to unravel the truth of our gendered experiences. As a result, compassion and understanding deepen, and tangible pathways emerge that reimagine gender relations and move toward forgiveness, healing, and restored relationships.
Ultimately, this unique Boston workshop invites Christian communities into a new form of spiritual healing and reconciliation. Together, we will build trust and connection through interactive activities, spiritual practice, and transformative group process.
