What people are saying about the GERI Online Course:

A window was opened [within me] into a previously closed space. Men’s voices were heard, women’s voices were heard, true equality in engagement. I found the course incredibly inspiring and transformative personally and professionally.

~ Jacqueline, Female Participant, South Africa

I have done a lot of work with men. I’ve dedicated a good part of my life to it. This IS NEXT LEVEL MEN’S WORK of a most powerful kind! It is hard to describe the connection and transformation I got sitting in a safe space to share my truths and HEAR people who are different than me share their truth and have them hear and fully witness mine, especially those who are of a different gender identification.

This course is well thought out and brings my work as a man into challenge in the best of ways. It continues to bring me “full circle” into deeper expression of myself, and into hearing, bearing witness, and honoring others truths and experiences. Big healing and connection is possible here.

This is a powerful opportunity to listen and be heard in a safe way. What an amazing opportunity to feel each other’s pain and join our hearts in service of liberation for both men & women. . .

~ Female Participant, Canada

I have been deeply touched by my experiences with GERI courses. While I have long been aware of gender injustice and violence, true solutions are rare. This kind of truth telling and witnessing opened my heart and mind to the possibility of true gender equality.

~ Alex Eppel, Male Participant, USA

It blew my mind. . . I was unsure of what to expect at the start of the course. . . but the activities were so enriching and eye opening. . .

~ Byron, Male Participant, South Africa

An eye opener for anybody to develop empathy and a deeper compassion for how patriarchy impacts not just women but also men.

~ Sailaja Manacha, Psychotherapist and Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy), India

I found this to be the safest course on Gender work that I have done. It is a major accomplishment to create a safe enough space on Zoom for men to hear women’s pain and women to hear men’s pain. And once that happened, I was surprised that most of the conversation falls away, and a deeper bond emerges. I feel connected across the ‘gender gap’ on a heart level now, not just a cognitive level. My partner and I did it together, and the deepening we achieved between the sessions, was a large part of the course. That was also true for our relationship with our children. I would recommend this course to anyone.

An eye and heart opening, healing experience. . . In order to truly make change for future generations, we need to come together across all gender expressions, in solidarity, around healthy, whole and expansive gender socialization. GERI helped me see and feel this in a new way.

This GERI course was the most moving, meaningful and impactful program I have experienced. And I have supported and led over 100 amazing programs for youth over the past 17 years. I am impressed with the program, process, and what was accomplished in the 14 hours over seven weeks.

~ Male Participant, USA

I loved taking part in this course! It felt like coming home. I am a facilitator, trainer & teacher, and often, when I am a participant myself, I do not feel held enough to go as deeply as I would like . . . This time I did. Heartfelt deep gratitude to you all. . .

Listening to women speak their truth and listening to us men, also from our sensitivity in front of women, was very healing.

~ Jaime Valdes-Neri, Male Participant, Mexico

This course was truly a light shone in the midst of the darkness. I found more of myself and more of my humanity throughout every session. It was a life-changing eye-opener.

~ Female Participant, South Africa

A beautiful intentional community of safety and trust inviting the opportunity to hear from the heart and share from the heart — the wounds, scars, hurts and healed bits. So incredible to do this on screens in zoom, just shows us what is possible when hearts are open.

– Tammy, British Colombia, Canada

Participating in this online course with GERI has deepened my awareness of the suffering experienced by all, because of systemic, generational gender inequity and injustice. I’ve been able to expand my compassion to myself and to others and most importantly to take responsibility for my part in advancing and holding safe space for gender healing.

– Sara Jamil, Ontario, Canada

I experienced a sense of being embraced by everyone in the program, though we were strangers, and separated by miles and cultural traditions. I came away from this experience, assured that my experiences with gender violence were valid. . . The necessity of a gender reconciliation and healing program in a safe environment is incredibly freeing and empowering.

I highly recommend the GERI course. It is an eye and heart opening, healing experience. For many years, I was naive to the inequities and injustice I had experienced throughout my life as a girl and as a woman. The socialization and conditioning was so ingrained in and around me that I had normalized much of the harm and pain that I experienced. I learned to ignore it and just put up with it. Over the past couple years, as I started to learn more about these societal dynamics and see them for what they were, I had become angry towards men.

Through this course, I started to see how the same conditioning actually harms men and robs them of their humanity, and inflicts a lot of pain on them too. In order to truly make change for future generations, we need to come together across all gender expressions, in solidarity, around healthy, whole and expansive gender socialization. GERI helped me see and feel this in a new way.

I attended this GERI introductory course with curiosity about the healing between genders, and how to facilitate it. I was drawn more and more into my process, which at times made me angry and sad, energetically aware of the pain inflicted upon genders from all walks of life. … Speaking our truth and naming how we feel and what we see in others, as they share the depths of their feelings, was very healing and eye opening – excited to learn more. Well worth every cent of time and energy to participate. The facilitators were phenomenal in their own authentic sharing and holding the space for others.

~ Marléne Nunes, Self & More Integrative Coaching, Cape Town, South Africa

“I came in as a stranger with little knowledge of GERI and the surrounding community, but they brought me in completely. I feel heard, understood, and respected. My fellow participants taught me so much through sharing their stories and thoughts with me and the rest of the group.”

~ Female university student in recent online course

“I experienced an amazing shift of awareness. . . I had no idea how the structures around gender had impacted me, and still played a part in how I viewed my personal power. This was eye-opening and I felt an amazing compassion to the experiences of others, men and women. Truly, I felt an experience of the depth of human connection, that I will carry with me into all that I do.”

~ Female Participant, USA

I think this exceptionally designed course should be taken by everyone no matter your age. Healing experiences and attitudes around gender, even if buried or very old issues, is transformative and will heal your heart and in turn humanity. This course, these teachings are critical to the evolving enlightenment and well being of our children. Don’t miss out on this gift to yourself.

~ Nancy Rushlow Bray, Charter for Compassion

I recognize that the safe space we created during the online workshop, invited the inner me to engage me in a personal-dialogue, which is still ongoing a month after the workshop. I have found a new source of joy from the insight and awareness that only if I find inner peace and healing, can I be an agent of healing and reconciliation between genders.

~ Male participant, Kenya

“I love being part of it because I was listened to and listened, I felt confident in opening my heart and others trusted me to tell their experiences, that I treasure in my heart and it fills me with gratitude. . .”
